Alliance Experience points

For an alliance to level up it seems to take a really long time for them hit the required experience point's compared to the other requirements. The new missions with higher points had helped. Are we missing something to make this happen faster? We have tried everything from having each member send equipment to anything else we can think of. There seems to be another alliance near by that seems to be blowing us away dispite us trying to turn out missions as often as possible. We did find one mission that puts out 1380 points but it's still not helping that much. Thanks for any input.
